Founded in 1925 by Emilio Curioni, the company started manufacturing machine for wood cases printing. After WWII, Emilio perceived the huge growth potential of corrugated board industry and switched the manufacturing activity of the company consequently.
After the first steps with letterpress and printer slotter with single sheet feeding, at the beginning of the 70s Curioni developed its first inline Flexo Folder Gluer: a heavy duty, reliable and competitive priced machine that started a significant development period in the whole industry.
At the end of the 70s, Curioni launched a new series of machines with bottom printing with the great innovation of an inline stitching unit.
The new series, called NT, represented for many customers in Italy and abroad the decisive step towards an industrial production.
Still today, a few boxmakers can satisfy their demand with a twin line, rotary die cutter and flexo folder gluer, of the NT series.
Thanks to the worldwide success of the NT Series, a new company mission was designed: manufacture high performance machines, controlled by reliable and updated electronics, capable to satisfy the top shelf customer, though keeping a competitive price.
The natural result of this new mission was the launch, at the beginning of 90s, of the Plus Series machines, a range of Flexo Folder Gluers and Rotary Die Cutters which combined technological innovations with the traditional heavy duty construction, high reliability and an unsurpassed ratio price-performance.
The new millennium found Curioni ready to respond the new challenge of innovation and global competition with the introduction of the first bottom-printing fixed-unit flexo folder gluer (1999), with a systematic enhancement of the complete range of flexo folder gluers (2001-2002) and eventually the launch of the revolutionary fast flexo setup system Corrusleeve® (2004).
The development of new products has gone together with an uninterrupted evolution of the company organization and now Curioni can be counted among the largest companies of corrugated board converting machine manufacturers. Besides a state-of-the-art workshop, equipped with sophisticated CNC machine tools, and a first class research and design department, Curioni boasts an excellent after sales service based on a team of skilled field engineers and our huge ready to ship parts inventory.
The third generation of Curioni family is now running the company as a testimony of the strong commitment of the company to support the corrugated board industry.
