| Founded in 1925 by Emilio Curioni, the company started manufacturing machines for wooden box printing. After WWII, Emilio perceived the huge growth potential of the corrugated board industry and switched the manufacturing activity of the company. | |

|
After his death, the two sons Pino and Italo continued the growth of the company
and moved the production workshop to the present modern headquarters of Galgagnano near Lodi and Milan.
After the first steps with letterpress and printer slotters with single sheet feeding, in the beginning of the 70s Curioni developed its first inline Flexo Folder Gluer: a heavy duty, reliable and competitively priced machine that started a significant development period in the whole industry. |
| The continuous growth and the increased complexity of machines called for new and more sophisticated machine tools. New investments were made to equip the workshop with the most advanced numerically controlled machine tools available on the market at the time. | |
|
At the end of the 70s, Curioni Launched a new series of machines with bottom printing with the great innovation of an inline stitching unit. The new series, called NT, represented for many customers in Italy and abroad the decisive step towards increased production. |

At the beginning of the 80s, after the untimely death of Pino Curioni, his wife Piera took over the responsibility of the company and began to promote a new era of growth for the company. The strategic units of the manufacturing company were enhanced and improved: the design office was equipped with CAD systems, new staff were hired to expand the after sale service in order to grant our customers more efficient and qualified service, new highly automatic and sophisticated machine tools were introduced in the workshop. A new company mission was the inspiration for these dramatic changes: manufacture high performance machines, controlled by reliable and state of the art electronics, capable of satisfying the top shelf customer, though keeping a competitive price. The natural result of this new mission was the launch of the Plus Series machines, a range of Flexo Folder Gluers and Rotary Die Cutters which combined technological innovations with the traditional heavy duty construction, high reliability and an unsurpassed ratio of price to performance. At the same time, the company was engaged in a complete upgrading of the existing series and today Curioni can boast more than 20 models of machines, organized in three series with different degrees of sophistication, capable to respond to the most diverse requirements of corrugated board converters around the world. With the induction of Pieras son, Fulvio, the third Curioni generation is now active in the Company, as a witness of the stability of the guidance that have led the Company for more than 70 years of service to the corrugated board industry.
