Flexibility is the successful feature of Curioni NT Series machines, since they can be assembled as printer-slotter, flexo folder gluer, rotary die cutter and also as an interesting Twin Line.

The best selling model among NT series is 2000 NT model, thanks to the special box size that can be produced and to the folding section equipped with the patented devices KeybeltsÆ and SteadylineÆ, specially designed to make perfectly squared boxes suitable for automatic case erector.

The perfect bottom printing quality, the die cut and folding accuracy, the valuable option for inline stitching and the big plus represented by the Twin Line version, turn this model in an ideal flexible tools for boxmaker of all sizes.

As for all Curioni machines, the feeder is equipped with the proven Lead Edge EXTEND-O-FEED of SUN Automation: As of 1999, there are more than 2500 installations in the five continents!

The flexo bottom printing units feature chromed rolls, tool-less pull rolls and powered pressure and register controls.

All slotting units are powered controlled for an easy and fast set-up of the slotting heads and of slotting blades.

In the lager models it is possible to install a dual slotting unit to increase the flexibility reducing the manual operation to adjust the slotting depth.

The Dual slotting unit features movable central head to produce special packaging or half boxes.

For these latter models, it is also available the option for Extend-o-Slot device, which allows to process board sheets with length up to two times the nominal repeat of the machine.

Die cutting in the NT Series machine is made from the top, so scraps are naturally ejected by gravity. The anvil cylinder has a larger diameter and is equipped with side movement to distribute the wear of the polyurethane blankets.Particularly advisable for Rotary Die Cutting line is the Synchro Drive device for the positive control of peripheral speed of anvil roll through a dc motor, as well as the grinding device for the polyurethane blankets.

The folding action is achieved through belts, assisted by a lug conveyance system that acts as a continuous squaring device, and the bundle is made from the bottom in the stacking pit. As an option, it is possible to install an extrusion gluing system and KeybeltÆ a special set of patented belts specially studied to prevent fish-tailing.

Among the most interesting features of this series, we cannot forget the possibility of installation of an inline stitching unit, with two versions capable of 1000 and 1400 stitches per minute.

Two are the options available for the electronic control of NT Series machine:

• next job pre-setting for the automatic set-up of slotting heads, folding beams, stitcher position and stacking pit. All data are entered through keypad and monitored through LCD.
• full computer aided automation for the control of all units composing the line through PC, which allows storage of repeated orders, of all  major production data for each order, and modem connection Teleservice to our service department.
