The Plus Series machines feature manufacturing solutions and advanced equipment, studied to comply with all requirements in corrugated board converting.

As for all Curioni machines, the feeder is equipped with the proven Lead Edge EXTEND-O-FEED of SUN Automation: As of 1999, there are more than 2500 installations in the five continents!

To satisfy all requirements for printing quality, Plus Series machines feature three different flexo bottom printing unit:

Basic with traditional roll to roll inking system

Raffaello with roll to roll inking system integrated by reverse angle doctor blade
Raffaello with closed chamber doctor blade Rainbow Graphics of Sun Automatic

All three printing units model can be fitted with Suction Grip vacuum sheet transport system (up to 3400 mm working width), without pull rolls, developed by Curioni under Bobst license, for a real kiss touch printing.

Also available the interstation module Minisplit and the large module Split Process, particularly suitable for rotary die cutting lines.Both modules are equipped with Suction Grip vacuum. Sheet transport system and are studied for the installation of ink drying systems.

For all models of the range it is available the dual shaft slotting unit, with movable central head and controlled through PC to produce special packaging and half boxes. With the further option of the Extend-o-Slot device, it is possible to process board sheet with length up to two times the nominal repeat of the machine.

The 1676 mm (66") rotary die cutters of the Plus series stand out for the heavy duty construction and are fitted with Synchro Drive for the positive control of the peripheral speed of anvil through a dc motor, with the grinding device for polyurethane blankets and with the magnetic type fast die mounting system.

The folding action is achieved through belts, assisted by a lug conveyance system that acts as a continuous squaring device, and the bundle is made from the bottom in the stacking pit. As an option, it is possible to install an extrusion gluing system and KeybeltÆ, a special set of patented belts specially studied to prevent fish-tailing.

Two are options available for the electronic control of Plus Series machine:

1. next job pre-setting for the automatic set-up of slotting heads, folding beams, stitcher position and stacking pit. All data are entered through keypad and monitored through LCD.

2.  full computer aided automation for the control of all units composing the line through PC, which allows storage of repeated orders, of all major production data for each order, and modem connection Teleservice to our service department.

The heavy duty construction and some interesting manufacturing innovations, such as the fast roll replacement system and the double register control, makes this series highly performing, reliable and easy to maintain.
