To respond to the growing demand of the market for small quantity of boxes and delivered Just In Time, Curioni has introduced a new Flexo Folder Gluer for change over of printing plates and die cut formes while the machine is running.

Just in time - The assemblies containing the print cylinders  and the tinking system  are vertically movable to disengage them from the board line. This feature, together with the Suction Grip vacuum sheet transport, allows printing plate mounting and ink change for the next job while the machine is running at full speed. This results in almost uninterrupted run time, with changeover time reduced to few minutes.

Printing units: The reliability of the Suction Grip vacuum sheet transport system (developed by Curioni under a Bobst license) combined with the line shaft drive, will grant:

• Minimum tolerances with correct register starting from the very first box
• The tolerance does not depend on the number of printing units,  matter how many you have
• Kiss touch printing: the printing plates print only and do not pull the sheet, and this improves the printing quality and extends the printing plate life
• Better register even with warped sheets very low flute crush improves the FCT values of your boxes

Inking system to your choice:

• Traditional with anilox and rubber rolls
• Raffaello with ceramic anilox and rubber rolls, integrated with a reverse angle doctor blade
• Raffaello with ceramic anilox roll and SUN Automation Rainbow Graphics closed chambered doctor blade system

Accessibility

The access to the fixed printing units is very easy and the operators work in a comfortable wide area underneath the board line.

The slotting unit and the rotary die cutter can be moved on short longitudinal rails to provide easy access for maintenance purposes.

Die Cutting

Bottom printing and top die cutting are mandatory features for proper in-line die cutting and correct trim and scraps ejection. Furthermore, the rotary die cylinder can be lifted and disengaged from the board line, thus permitting changing rotary dies while the machine is running RSC boxes.

Like any true rotary die cutter, this unit is  equipped with the positive speed control of anvil rotation, anvil grinding device and magnetic fast die mounting system .

Folding section

The folding action is performed by vacuum belts to give:

• High cruising speed
• Perfect grip of boxes even with poor quality board
• Very small panel combinations

The fast order change philosophy is kept throughout the folding section: the application of vacuum belts allows to switch to skip-feed without any manual operation.

The famous patented devices KEYBELT Æ and STEADYLINE Æ prevent fish-tailing and grant constant closing gap.

Full computer control

The PC features a huge memory capable of recording box dimensions of repeat orders and production data for each order

The operator friendly interface and the self-diagnostics provide a very easy and practical access to any program. “Teleservice” modem service is available for a quick and reliable remote check by our engineers.
